Weekend on Inis Mór
Our first workshop weekend takes place 16–18 October 2026 on Inis Mór — better known as Craggy Island, the unofficial home of Tedfest.
As a Gaeltacht region, the island is a natural place for an immersive Irish learning location, with a healthy dose of Craggy Island craic.
Program Outline
The weekend is semi-structured as follows.
The Irish Ted Experience (€165)
The perfect introduction to Irish language, culture and craic on Inis Mór.
Spend a weekend learning practical Irish through interactive workshops, Father Ted-inspired activities, traditional music and shared experiences with fellow learners.

Beyond Craggy Island (€225)
Everything in The Irish Ted Experience, plus extra time on the island for those who want to dive deeper into local life, language and culture.
- Friday afternoon — Craggy Island Island Tour: Arrive early and explore the landscapes, stories and local culture that inspired the world of Father Ted while picking up useful Irish connected to island life.
- Sunday afternoon — The Irish They Never Taught You: Discover the expressions, slang, sayings and colourful Irish phrases that never appeared in school textbooks.
- Sunday evening — The Sunday Night Finale: Some things are better experienced than explained.
- Sunday night — Traditional Music Session & Farewell Gathering: Enjoy one last evening of music and friendship on Inis Mór before departing the following morning.
